Reconstruction of dental, oral, and craniofacial tissues through tissue engineering and/or regenerative medicine is a major goal in dentistry. Research in this area includes the study of craniofacial/skeletal biology and disease including cancer and guided regenerative interventions for tissues lost due to disease or trauma.
